Can I post about my investment on social channels?
No.
The financial promotion restriction in Section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) means that a person must not communicate an invitation or inducement to engage in investment activity (or claims management activity).
Similarly, it is bad form to communicate that you’ve made an investment in a private company before the deal has actually closed, and could jeopardise your Deal Lead’s allocation into the Investee Company.
Similarly, the Deal Lead cannot publicly ask people to participate in their deal, and mention Odin in the same post. They also cannot post a link to their Odin deal page on social media.
