What happens if a deal I’ve invested into gets cancelled?
If the Deal Lead loses their allocation into a deal or receives notice that the deal won’t be moving ahead for another reason, they can cancel their deal without any extra charge to them. Odin will, however, charge £25 per refund for investors that have transferred into the SPV.
In practice we will always net the £25 from the investment amount we’re refunding, but if requested we can instead invoice the Deal Lead instead and return the full amounts to their investors.
The Deal Lead will first inform you that the deal won’t be moving ahead, and will ask you to go to you account settings in Odin and add your bank details for the refund, in case you hadn’t done so already.
The Deal Lead will then inform either their Customer Success representative or Odin’s Support team. Our team will then verify that all investors have up-to-date bank details recorded in Odin. If not, we will email you to ask that you share them with us.
Our team will then set up each individual wire for investor refunds, which Odin’s Finance team will then approve. Once each wire transfer has been made by Odin, we will then formally cancel the deal from the back-end.
