Foreign Exchange (FX)
If there is any foreign exchange (FX) required during the completion of the deal, please note that Odin will charge extra fees. FX can occur in the following scenarios:
- One of your investors has wired in a different currency to the one you’ve chosen to denominate the deal in.
- E.g. You’re raising a deal in USD and one of your investors wires in EUR.
- Your company itself requires funds to be wired in an alternative currency to the one you’ve denominated the deal in.
- E.g. Your company is located in Israel and are raising in USD via Odin, but require the funds to be transferred in ILS (New Israeli Shekels).
In either scenario, you must inform either Odin’s Customer Support team or Deal Operations team of the change being made. Odin will then communicate the final costs and (if relevant) how the decision will affect the final investment amount being sent to your company.
We strongly recommend that you only raise money for deals in the currency you wish to wire to the investee company, as we have no control over the FX fees.
