Inputting your ‘commitment’ and selecting your investment entity
For a video guide to completing KYC (either as an individual or through your business entity), please scroll to the bottom of this page.
Commitment Amount
Input the final amount you intend to invest in the investee company, disregarding any extra fees being charged by the Syndicate Lead or by Odin.
Please note that if your commitment amount is lower than the minimum amount specified by the deal lead when creating the deal, the platform won’t allow you to progress. If this happens, please contact your deal lead. The minimum commitment amount will be visible on this page for your convenience.
If your commitment is over £12,000, please be aware that you’ll later need to complete Odin’s extra AML check.
If you are seeking to claim relief from the EIS or SEIS schemes, we would greatly advise you to commit and wire in an exact multiple of the share price. While Odin can support fractional shares, these schemes do not and there’s a chance your claim could be rejected if you do not submit it for whole shares. Your Deal Lead should communicate this to you up-front if a deal is S/EIS-eligible.

Investment Entity
Under ‘Who is Investing’, please confirm the entity through which you’ll be making your investment into the deal, or create a new entity if this is your first time investing on Odin.
Creating an entity
When creating a new entity, you have two options:
- I’m investing as an individual
- I’m investing via another entity (limited company, trust or something else)
If you are setting up a new entity, you will be required to complete a Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) check, which is a standard Customer Due Diligence (CDD). The next page will explain the KYC & AML process in further detail and what is required for each entity type.
Note: Any new entity you create through the investment flow will be available for you to select for future investments through Odin. You can also manage your investment entities through your account settings.
