What if I want to co-syndicate a deal?
If you wish to join forces with another syndicate on a specific deal, and would prefer to share the costs of the SPV, then it’s possible to co-syndicate a deal on Odin.
You’d have to follow the same basic deal creation process, with a couple of changes.
You’d need to create a new syndicate on Odin first, an example being ‘Syndicate A x Syndicate B’, or whatever nomenclature you’d prefer.
You’d need to add the other syndicate lead as a co-drafter so that they have access to the draft (and so that they have syndicate lead credentials once the deal has been published).
You’ll split carry between both syndicates. Odin can implement a retrospective carry split, but it’s much easier if you share the correct split up-front.
When it comes to syndicate lead fees / management fees (if applicable), you will also need to inform our Customer Support or Deal Operations team of how you’d like them divided.
Upon closing, our team will confirm this and ask both syndicate leads to share their bank details if we don’t have them on file.
