What if I want to change who pays Odin’s fee?
When setting up a deal on Odin, you can specify Odin’s deal fee to be paid by either the Syndicate Lead, the Investee Company, or your Investors. The fee must be paid by only one of the above; we cannot split the fee between multiple parties.
If you decide after launching the deal that you want to change who pays Odin’s fee, please reach out to our Customer Support team by emailing hello@joinodin.com, and they’ll make this change for you.
If you are changing the payer of Odin’s fee to the Investee Company, please ensure they’ve given consent for this, and ensure that they understand our invoicing process.
If you are changing the payer of Odin’s fee to the Investors (pro-rata), please ensure they’ve given consent for this (we will need evidence), and ensure that the investors have transferred enough to cover their share of Odin’s fee. If any investors haven’t yet transferred enough, they can make a top-up payment.
If you are changing the payer of Odin’s fee to the Syndicate Leads, you only need to inform our Customer Support team, and don’t need to provide evidence of consent. In the rare case that investors have now contributed excess capital to the deal in the form of pro-rated fees, our team will have to initiate refunds to return the excess to them.
Please inform Odin of any change you make up-front before you submit the deal for closing. Our team can only operate according to the information they’ve been given and will proceed with seeking payment from the party you tell us is paying Odin’s fee at the outset, unless you specify otherwise.
