What if I want to charge performance-related carry, or carry hurdles?

The Odin platform currently only allows for a fixed % figure input for carried interest by default - no in-product mechanism exists to allow for hurdle rates, kickers or other forms of performance-related carry.

If you inform your Customer Success representative or our Customer Support team of the way you intend carry to function, we can instead add custom text to the SPV’s deal sheet (the ‘additional terms’ box). Your prospective investors will be able to review these custom terms before they commit to invest in the deal. Simply share the text you want to include in an email to us.

When it comes to an exit event, the usual process would apply. Odin’s Deal Operations team would be aware of any custom carry terms and would factor this into the final carry calculations and confirm the figures with you as the syndicate lead.
